My first 7 months of blogging

I suppose most people celebrate 1 month and 6 months and 1 year and so on, but I decided that celebrating the 7-months anniversary of my blog would be more special and more important. Aaand I forgot to write this post one month ago, but that’s not the point.

I still can’t believe that 7 months passed since I started this blog. I have done so much and yet so little here. I guess that I could have written more yet I am still so proud of my posts.

I started this blog with something in mind and i am so far away from where I thought I would be. But now necessarily in a bad way.

All the time, we start doing something thinking that in 3,4,5,6 or 7 months we will get to a specific point. I imagined that, after a few months, my blog would look so different from how it does now and that I would have hundreds of followers and dozens of posts and so on so on. Well, that is obviously not the case. I wrote just a few posts (which is a shame, really) and I don’t have hundreds of followers (but I adore each and every person that followed my blog during these 7 months) . Yet I am so proud every time I think of this blog.

In 7 months of blogging, I discovered so many things and I would like to share them with you:

  • Blogging is a great way of meeting people. Ever since I started this, I met bloggers from all over. Italy, USA, UK, Denmark and so on. I met them through groups for bloggers on social media and I have actually learned quite a lot from them.
  • The number of words doesn’t matter. When I started this blog, I used to think that if I wrote more words, my blog post would be better. Well, that is not true. The things that you say are more important than the number of words that you use.
  • If you don’t feel it then don’t write it. You shouldn’t write something just because you think that it is going to bring you readers and followers. If you don’t feel what you are writing, then better not post it.
  • Writing about something on the moment feels amazing. I discovered this when I wrote the post about Viola Davis. I loved her speech so much and I was so excited to write about it on my blog.

Well, those things sounded smarter and deeper in my head, but I tried my best to share them with you. What I am trying and failing to say is that I am so glad that I started this blog 7 months ago because I have learned so much and it made me so happy to write here.

Thanks to all my followers ❤ and if you are reading this and you haven’t followed me yet you definitely should ( 😉 ) . Also, I have an Instagram account for photography and travel sooo if you guys would like to check it out and follow it that would be great.

Thanks again for the amazing 7 months. 🙂

  2. Congratulations on your milestone! I’ve been in business for over 15 years but it was only last November that I decided to take that to a new level. I started a blog and designed a new site for myself and I have to say, it’s been a thrill. I share many of your feelings about blogging. Here’s to another 7 months!

  4. And, imagine how much more you will learn in 7 more months! Blogging has been a huge eye-opener for me, I would’ve never been so involved in the digital world if I didn’t start off blogging. Cheers to many more months to come!
